Technical Designer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Technical Designer to prepare detailed AV system designs, technical drawings, schematics, layouts, and documentation for Audio-Visual projects. The candidate will work closely with the Sales, Presales, Project, and Technical teams to develop practical and accurate AV solutions as per project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare AV system designs, block diagrams, schematics, floor plans, and equipment layouts.
• Develop detailed drawings for audio, video, control, networking, and signal distribution systems.
• Prepare BOQ, equipment schedules, cable schedules, and technical documentation.
• Design speaker layouts, projector/display layouts, LED video wall layouts, microphone layouts, rack layouts, and control-room layouts.
• Review project requirements, tender specifications, site drawings, and architectural plans.
• Coordinate with the Sales and Presales teams to understand customer requirements and develop suitable technical solutions.
• Coordinate with Technical/Installation teams to ensure designs are practical and installation-friendly.
• Modify drawings according to site conditions, client comments, and project requirements.
• Ensure drawings follow project specifications, industry standards, and company design guidelines.
• Prepare as-built drawings and update technical documentation after project completion.
• Assist in technical presentations and client discussions whenever required.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of Professional AV systems and AV system integration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Ability to prepare AV block diagrams and system schematics.
• Understanding of audio signal flow, video signal flow, control systems, networking, and cabling.
• Ability to understand product datasheets and select suitable equipment according to project requirements.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Education & Experience

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Communication, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1 years of experience in AV design, technical drawing, system integration, or a related field.
• Freshers with strong AutoCAD skills and knowledge of AV systems may also be considered.
