Job OverviewWe are seeking a fast-thinking, politically sharp Political Social Media Page Manager to run the daily digital feed and online narrative for our candidate, organization, or advocacy campaign. In this role, you will be on the front lines of the digital campaign—managing official accounts, executing messaging strategy, driving rapid-response commentary during news cycles, and building an engaged online movement.

The ideal candidate possesses deep political awareness, instant editorial judgment, and the ability to maintain ironclad message discipline under high-pressure, fast-moving news conditions.

• Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Page Operations & Publishing: Run the narrative calendar across X (Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and Threads—ensuring high-frequency, platform-tailored posts that align with core campaign messaging.
• Rapid Response & War Room Execution: Execute real-time commentary, rebuttals, and live-tweeting/posting during breaking news, debates, press conferences, opponent announcements, and live events.
• Message Discipline & Tone: Uphold the political entity’s distinct voice, brand integrity, and messaging guidelines across all public posts, replies, and dynamic online interactions.
• Community Engagement & Amplification: Monitor comments and direct messages, engage with key surrogates, influencers, and allied accounts, and foster an active online supporter base while moderating coordinated spam or bad-faith actors.
• Sentiment Tracking & Social Listening: Monitor real-time political discourse, trending topics, voter sentiment, and news narratives to identify engagement opportunities or emerging PR risks.
• Ad & Fundraising Integration: Coordinate with paid media and fundraising teams to align organic page strategy with digital ad pushes, email campaigns, and donation drives.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Direct visual requests to in-house graphic designers and video editors to rapidly translate political policy, debate clips, and news highlights into high-impact visual assets.
• Requirements & QualificationsExperience: 2–4+ years of social media management experience, with specific experience in political campaigns, advocacy groups, public affairs, or news media.
• Political Acumen: Sharp understanding of modern political strategy, voter demographics, current events, legislative processes, and media dynamics.
• High-Speed Writing: Exceptional short-form political copywriting skills—capable of crafting persuasive hooks, punchy rebuttals, and clear policy explanations in minutes.
• Platform & Tool Expertise: Master-level understanding of native social platform mechanics (X, Meta, TikTok, YouTube) and management platforms (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, TweetDeck/X Pro).
• Crisis Management & Judgment: Cool-headed crisis management skills with sound editorial judgment to handle sensitive topics, combat misinformation, and make real-time decisions without approval bottlenecks.
• Compliance Knowledge: Basic familiarity with campaign finance disclosures, platform political ad policies, and digital fair-use standards.
• Work Environment & ExpectationsHours: Non-standard business hours required. Must be available for evening and weekend coverage, debate nights, rapid-response war rooms, and breaking news events throughout the election cycle.
