Asst Manager - Design

Key Responsibilities

1. Mathematical modelling and simulation of multidisciplinary systems from first principles (electrical, electromagnetic, thermal, underwater acoustic modeling etc.).

2. Development of advanced control systems including stability analysis, system identification, and performance evaluation.

3. Requirement generation and documentation for control subsystems across diverse engineering projects.

4. Study and analysis of system dynamics, including electromagnetic and electromechanical interactions.

5. Design and implementation of guidance, navigation, and motion control strategies for different platforms.

6. Algorithm development for advanced control applications, including:

   • PID controller design and tuning

   • Kalman filtering and sensor fusion

   • Command shaping and trajectory optimization

   • Autopilot and supervisory control systems

7. Control software implementation, testing, and tuning across hardware and software environments.

8. Site visits for system installation, integration, and trial operations.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on knowledge of mathematical modeling and simulation from first principles.

• Expertise in controller design (PID and advanced control methods).

• Proficiency in MATLAB/SIMULINK, SIMSCAPE and similar simulation tools.

• Working knowledge of Python and C/C++ programming languages.

• Thorough understanding of Maxwell’s equations and electromagnetic theory.

• Experience with COMSOL Multiphysics and CAE-based simulation tools.

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of underwater acoustics and sonar systems.

• Knowledge of aerodynamics, robotics, or mechatronics depending on project domain.

• Hands-on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.

• Familiarity with RF systems and optical technologies.

The role requires the ability to work across multiple engineering domains, integrating mechanical, electrical, electromagnetic, and software systems. A Control System Engineer in this capacity must demonstrate adaptability, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills to design robust control solutions for diverse projects.
