OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Alstom Services platform offers a wide range of business solutions for Rolling Stocks (train, metro, tramway…), Signalling and Infrastructure products: maintenance, modernization, technical support and parts services.

 

Several solutions are being implemented to optimize Alstom Service business processes and provide services to customers: maintenance management system, service execution system, maintenance documentation, dashboards, eCommerce for spare parts, customer web portal, eLogbook, maintenance planning optimization… based on technologies such as SAP, Salesforce, Apriso, Anaplan, Arbortext, QlikSense, Maximo a.s.o

 

The IS&T (Information System & Technology) Service team supports the maintenance business on several processes: warranty, maintenance and service execution. One major role of the team is to design, deliver and support Maintenance Management System based on Maximo technology to Alstom projects worldwide.

The Maximo expert role is to ensure that the solutions delivered are aligned with Alstom Maximo core model rules and development standards. He / She will need to interact with internal and external stakeholders in order to respond to our increased number of MMS deployments.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Maximo expert, you oversee:

• Building Alstom Maximo Core Model based on functional analysis and functional requirements
• Install and configure Maximo application based on Core Model for Alstom maintenance project, Alstom customer, Consortium…
• Deliver clear technical analysis of the solutions, that demonstrate clearly what will be developed, how it meets the functional requirements and how it preserve the system integrity.
• Be involve in the solution development to make the core model evolve, through direct delivery or through governance of our partners
• Review deliverables produce by junior resources to ensure the deliverables and documentation is at the right level of quality.
• Ensuring that the technical aspects of our Maximo Core Model solution is well documented, evolves consistently and is not jeopardized by localization
• Interacting with Operations teams by providing technical expertise when needed, especially for complex problems
• Lead technical workshops with functional experts and or/business stakeholder to ensure shared understanding of the processes and requirements.
• Able to independently build and design technical solution adhering to application performance guidelines and Alstom security standards
• Continuously find ways to achieve performance optimization of the Solution.
• Always aware of latest technologies, systems and methodologies
• Possess analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Act as technical reference and mentor for junior resources

 

In order to be able to execute all the responsibilities above, you will be working with our external partners.  In addition, you will be constantly liaising between partners, Maximo functional experts, project managers and local business to drive the different projects technical deliverables successfully.  When it comes to our applicative landscape, you will be working not only with partners and business but also with other IS&T teams in other pillars. Your technical expertise will be needed to deliver the different projects with high quality and on time.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

Required

• Significant hands-on experience with IBM Maximo, including technical leadership across multiple implementation, upgrade, integration, or migration projects. Eight or more years of relevant experience is preferred; candidates demonstrating equivalent technical depth and delivery leadership may also be considered.

• Strong experience with IBM Maximo Manage, within IBM Maximo Application Suite 9.x, and a solid understanding of MAS architecture and deployment components.

• Strong experience with Maximo configuration, customization and technical solution design
• Demonstrated experience with Maximo Integration Framework, REST APIs, automation scripts, and enterprise integration patterns.

• Experience designing and executing data migration solutions, including validation and reconciliation.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle)
• Ability to translate functional requirements into secure, supportable, and maintainable technical designs.

• Experience reviewing code and technical deliverables
• Professional fluency in written and spoken English
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

 

Preferred

• Experience with Maximo Asset Configuration Manager, Maximo Transportation
• BIRT reporting, Mobile, Workflow design
• Knowledge of SQL server  Database
• Experience in rail, transportation or another asset-intensive industry
