Job Purpose  

 

The Practice Solution Manager (PSM) in the Vision Care division plays a crucial role in driving the growth of Alcon's market share and CL penetration within the assigned top potential accounts through implementation of the value adding services driving customer engagement including but not limited to digital solutions, CL category growth events and sell-out activities. He/she delivers training and coordinates educational events in collaboration with Professional Education team to enhance the technical skills of the ECPs. The PSM is an experienced professional offering high-level commercial consultancy and digital platform implementation expertise as well as providing high-level technical advice from internal /external experts. 

 

Major Duties-Duties are listed in order of greatest importance. Other responsibilities may be assigned. 

 

• PSM will work in tandem with Sales Reps & KAM by partnering consultatively with Account Lead/Decision Maker, ECPs and other Store Team members as needed to achieve mutually aligned goals aiming to deliver outstanding customer experience, drive patient engagement and improve retention for the practice.  Ultimately, the PSM will be responsible for driving best-in-class customer engagement solutions enabling Alcon market share growth. Focus 

areas include practice staff training, patient journey development, integration of digital solutions and other Value proposition solutions developed by Alcon VC. 

• Promote the introduction of Alcon's digital platform and encourage new prescriptions/subscriptions, accelerating customer acquisition and consumer enrollment to subscription services.  

• Assist ECPs to improve consumer journey experience within practice (CL awareness, practice efficiency opportunities (e.g. around fitting), post-fitting support and subscriptions support programs through digital platform) to accelerate CL sales growth and market share gain.  

• Responsible for planning fitting events to effectively support patient journey and enhance consumer experience with strategic Alcon brands. 

• Maximize Alcon in-store visibility through POS materials and other visual merchandising initiatives.  

• Coordinates the educational curricula in collaboration with Professional Education team.  

• Collaborate locally with Reps & KAM, Professional Education and Marketing to create  

and implement outstanding practice support model.

• Achieve Sales Value Targets for assigned product portfolio as per account coverage 

• Win Market Share on Key Priority Brands 

• Activation execution as per target. 

• New Fits execution in identified outlets 

• Instore sales and share for Key Priority Brands  

 

Education: 

• Min. - Full time bachelor’s in optometry; Desirable – B.Optom + MBA  

 

Languages: 

• North Region: Hindi and English  

• South Region: English and Kannada/Tamil 

 

Experience / Professional requirement:  

• Min 3 years of extensive optical retail experience from market leading companies. 

• Passion for understanding the mindset of ECPs and consumers and keeping up with commercial and technology trends 

• Passion for execution  

• Drive for Results 

• Willingness to learn on the job 

• Excellent verbal communication skills  

• Ability to successfully collaborate and build relationships with internal teams. 

• Regular business trips are required for this function
