QA/QC Engineer

Key Responsibilities

At the Factory / Casting Yard:

• Pre-Cast Inspection: Check mold dimensions, steel rebar cage alignment, cover, and embedded items before pouring concrete.
• Batching & Pouring: Monitor concrete mix, conduct slump tests, cast test cubes, and track curing cycles.
• Final Product Check: Inspect demolded concrete elements for surface finish, cracks, or dimensional errors before dispatch.

At the Construction Site:

• Incoming Checks: Inspect delivered concrete elements and raw materials for transport damage or non-compliance.
• Erection & Jointing: Check foundation levels, structural alignment, connection welding, and joint grouting.
• Site Inspections: Coordinate with client/consultant inspectors for Requests for Inspection (RFIs) and sign-offs.

Documentation & Testing:

• Maintain lab testing registers (cube strength, rebar tensile, sand/aggregate tests).
• Raise and clear NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) for defects both in the factory and on-site.
• Required Skills Strong understanding of concrete technology, rebar inspection, and structural jointing.
• Ability to read civil, structural, and precast shop drawings.
• Familiarity with factory casting practices and site erection procedures.
