Job Description
Gas Cutter – ONGC Contractor Project
Position: Gas Cutter
Work Location: ONGC Project/Site
Employment: Through Contractor
Salary: ₹26,000 – ₹31,200 per month inclusive of PF & ESIC, depending on experience
Food: Free food provided
- Job ResponsibilitiesPerform gas cutting of MS plates, pipes, structural steel and fabricated materials.
- Operate oxygen-LPG/acetylene gas-cutting equipment safely.
- Carry out straight, bevel and profile cutting as per measurements and markings.
- Assist fitters and welders in fabrication, erection and maintenance activities.
- Inspect cylinders, hoses, regulators, cutting torches and flashback arrestors before use.
- Follow Hot Work Permit, PTW and all site safety procedures.
- Use mandatory PPE including helmet, safety shoes, gloves, goggles/face shield and protective clothing.
- Properly handle and secure gas cylinders.
- Maintain tools and cutting equipment in good working condition.
- Follow instructions of the contractor's supervisor, site engineer and HSE team.
- Report gas leakage, damaged equipment, unsafe conditions or fire hazards immediately.
- Candidate RequirementsExperienced Gas Cutters preferred.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, refinery, pipeline, fabrication, construction, shipyard or industrial projects preferred.
- ITI qualification preferred; experienced skilled workers may also be considered.
- Candidate should have practical knowledge of gas cutting and related safety procedures.
- Must be physically fit for industrial/site work.
- Candidates may be required to clear trade test, medical fitness and safety induction.

Salary & Benefits₹26,000 to ₹31,200 per month as per experience, inclusive of PF & ESIC.

ImportantRecruitment is through a contractor for deployment at an ONGC project/site. Selected candidates will be employees/workers of the contractor and not direct employees of ONGC.
