Job Description

  • Understand clients’ financial goals and risk tolerance.
  • Recommend suitable investments, insurance, retirement, and tax-planning products.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Prepare financial plans and investment portfolios.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and suggest changes when appropriate.
  • Explain financial products, fees, risks, and returns clearly.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations.
  • Generate new clients through networking, referrals, and business development.

Typical qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of investments, mutual funds, insurance, taxation, and financial planning.
  • Relevant certifications/licenses may be required depending on the country and products being advised on.
