Wirecut Programmer Cum Operator

Wire Cut Programmer cum OperatorExperience: 2–5 years

Industry: Auto Component / Tool Room / Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and program Wire EDM / Wire Cut machines for precision components, dies, punches, tools, and fixtures.
• Prepare CNC programs based on drawings, CAD data, and machining requirements.
• Set machine parameters, wire, workpiece, offsets, and cutting conditions.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and dimensional tolerances.
• Ensure components are produced as per required dimensions, accuracy, and surface finish.
• Perform machine setting, tooling, alignment, and job inspection.
• Monitor machining operations and troubleshoot basic machine/programming issues.
• Carry out in-process and final inspection using measuring instruments such as Vernier, micrometer, height gauge, etc.
• Optimize cutting parameters and programs to improve cycle time, accuracy, and machine utilization.
• Maintain machine, consumables, tools, and daily production/machine records.
• Coordinate with the Tool Room, Production, Quality, and Design teams for timely completion of jobs.
• Follow all safety, quality, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance procedures.

Key Skills:

• Hands-on experience in Wire EDM / Wire Cut programming and operation
• Knowledge of CNC programming and CAD/CAM
• Ability to read 2D drawings and understand GD&T
• Knowledge of machining parameters, tolerances, and precision measurement
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of tool & die / fixture manufacturing
• Quality and productivity-oriented approach

Preferred: Candidates with experience in auto-component/tool-room manufacturing and precision die, punch, mould, or fixture components will be preferred.
