Job Title: CCTV Electrician / CCTV Technician

1. Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled CCTV Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CCTV surveillance systems, including cameras, cabling, power supplies, and associated equipment at client locations and project sites.

2. Roles and Responsibilities

1.  Install and commission CCTV cameras, including bullet, dome, PTZ, and IP cameras.

2.  Carry out cable laying, dressing, termination, and testing of Cat 6, Cat 5e, coaxial, and power cables.

3.  Install and configure CCTV accessories, including junction boxes, camera poles, racks, power supplies, and mounting brackets.

4.  Assist in the installation of Network Video Recorders (NVRs), Digital Video Recorders (DVRs), switches, and related networking equipment.

5.  Perform fault finding, troubleshooting, and replacement of faulty cameras, cables, connectors, and power supplies.

6.  Conduct preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of CCTV systems.

7.  Check camera viewing angles, video quality, recording, connectivity, and power supply.

8.  Use tools and testing equipment such as crimping tools, multimeters, LAN cable testers, and other installation tools.

9.  Follow electrical safety procedures and site-specific safety requirements while working at project locations.

10.  Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, and client representatives for installation, inspection, and maintenance activities.

11.  Maintain installation reports, fault reports, service records, and material consumption details.

12.  Travel to client locations and project sites as required.

3. Educational Qualification

•  ITI in Electrician, Electronics, or a related technical trade is preferred.

•  Candidates with relevant technical training and practical experience in CCTV installation may also apply.

4. Experience

•  1–3 years of experience in CCTV installation, electrical wiring, or security surveillance systems is preferred.

•  Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered.

5. Required Skills

•  Knowledge of CCTV camera installation and maintenance.

•  Basic understanding of electrical wiring, power supplies, and networking.

•  Familiarity with IP cameras, NVRs, DVRs, switches, and LAN cabling.

•  Ability to identify and resolve technical faults.

•  Willingness to work at client sites and travel as required.

•  Good teamwork, discipline, and problem-solving skills. Should be capable of working safely with ladders and other approved access equipment.

7. Reporting To

Project Engineer / Site Supervisor / Technical Manager.
