VMC Machine Operator

A Vertical Machining Center (VMC) Operator sets up, programs, and runs CNC milling machines to produce precision metal or plastic parts. They are responsible for interpreting technical blueprints, selecting cutting tools, setting offsets, and inspecting finished components to ensure strict adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Set up VMC machine with correct tools, offsets, and fixtures.

·        Load programs and verify machining parameters.

·        Perform first-piece inspection as per drawing requirements.

·        Monitor tool wear and coordinate timely replacement.

·        Maintain dimensional accuracy across batch production.

·        Record cycle time, output, and rejection details.

·        Coordinate with quality for in-process corrections.

·        Ensure coolant, lubrication, and machine housekeeping standards.

·        Follow safe operation practices during setup and running.

·        Assist in minor troubleshooting and process optimization.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

·        ITI/Diploma in Mechanical/Production trades preferred.

·        3+ years in VMC/CNC operations for engineered components.

·        Experience in manufacturing/automation domain preferred

·        Working knowledge of ERP/QMS/standard documentation discipline
