VMC Machine OperatorJob SummaryWe are looking for a skilled VMC Machine Operator to operate and monitor Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines for precision machining of components. The operator will be responsible for machine setup, tool loading, production, dimensional inspection, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesOperate VMC machines to manufacture components as per production drawings and specifications.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T.
• Perform machine setup, including fixture installation, workpiece loading, tool setting, and work offset setting.
• Load and verify CNC programs and make minor program/offset adjustments when required.
• Select and install appropriate cutting tools, holders, and inserts.
• Set and monitor tool offsets, work offsets, spindle speed, feed rate, and cutting parameters.
• Inspect first-off and in-process components using measuring instruments such as vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge, height gauge, and dial gauge.
• Maintain required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Monitor machine operation and identify abnormal conditions such as vibration, tool wear, dimensional variation, or machine alarms.
• Replace worn or damaged cutting tools as required.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and report machine problems to the supervisor or maintenance team.
• Maintain production records, inspection reports, and tool-change records.
• Follow production schedules and achieve daily production targets.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S standards around the machine.
• Follow all company safety procedures and use required PPE.
• Minimize material wastage, tool consumption, rejection, and machine downtime.
• Support continuous improvement and productivity initiatives.
