Key responsibilitiesPlanning and intake

• Meet department heads to understand each vacancy: skills, budget, urgency and team fit.
• Write clear job descriptions and agree the hiring timeline with the hiring manager.

Sourcing and screening

• Source candidates through job portals (Naukri, Indeed, LinkedIn), referrals, social media, local agencies and walk-in drives.
• Screen resumes, run first-round phone and in-person screening calls, and shortlist against the role requirements.
• Maintain a talent pool of tailors, pattern makers, designers, merchandisers and QC staff for quick future hiring.

Interviews and selection

• Schedule and coordinate interviews, trade tests and technical rounds with department heads.
• Run reference and background checks, and document interview feedback.

Offer and onboarding

• Prepare offer letters, negotiate within the approved salary band and follow up until the candidate joins.
• Collect joining documents (ID, education, experience letters, bank details) and complete joining formalities.
• Run induction on day one and check in with new joiners at 7, 30 and 90 days.

Records and reporting

• Keep the applicant tracker and hiring MIS updated daily (open positions, stage-wise pipeline, source, offers, joins, drop-offs).
• Send a weekly hiring report to the HR Manager and management.
• Follow labour law and company HR policy, and keep candidate data confidential.

Employer branding

• Post jobs regularly on social media and the company page, and keep the careers information current.

RequirementsMust have

• Graduate in any stream; MBA/PGDM in HR is a plus.
• 2–4 years of hands-on recruitment experience, including volume and blue-collar hiring.
• Good working knowledge of job portals, LinkedIn and Boolean search.
• Clear communication in Hindi and English (local language is a plus).
• Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets for trackers and reports.
• Basic knowledge of labour law, PF/ESI and joining formalities.
