Job Description
The Automobile Two-Wheeler Technician will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing two-wheelers according to manufacturer standards and dealership procedures. The technician will ensure high-quality workmanship, timely completion of assigned jobs, and customer satisfaction.
- Key Roles and Responsibilities1. Vehicle Service & RepairPerform periodic maintenance and general servicing of two-wheelers.
- Diagnose mechanical and technical problems in vehicles.
- Repair and replace faulty parts and components.
- Perform engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical system repairs.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify required repairs.
- Ensure all repairs are completed according to manufacturer guidelines.
- 2. Diagnostics & TroubleshootingIdentify vehicle problems using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Diagnose engine, electrical, fuel system, and other technical issues.
- Troubleshoot customer-reported vehicle complaints.
- Report complex technical problems to the Workshop Supervisor or Service Manager.
- 3. Quality of WorkEnsure high-quality repairs and servicing.
- Follow standard operating procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Conduct proper checks before completing assigned jobs.
- Reduce repeat repairs through accurate diagnosis and quality workmanship.
- Ensure vehicles are properly tested after repairs.
- 4. Job Card ManagementReview assigned job cards before starting work.
- Complete all work mentioned in the job card.
- Inform the Service Advisor or Supervisor if additional repairs are required.
- Record completed work accurately.
- Ensure jobs are completed within the specified timeline.
- 5. Tools & EquipmentUse workshop tools and equipment properly and safely.
- Maintain tools in good working condition.
- Report damaged or faulty equipment immediately.
- Keep the work area clean and organised.
- 6. Spare Parts CoordinationCoordinate with the Spare Parts Department for required parts.
- Ensure correct spare parts are used for repairs.
- Return unused or defective parts according to company procedures.
- Avoid wastage and unnecessary use of spare parts.
- 7. Safety & ComplianceFollow all workshop safety procedures.
- Use appropriate safety equipment while working.
- Maintain cleanliness and discipline in the workshop.
- Follow company policies and manufacturer service standards.
- 8. Customer Vehicle CareHandle customer vehicles carefully and responsibly.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean during servicing and repairs.
- Protect customer belongings and vehicle components.
- Support the Service Advisor when technical explanations are required.

- Required QualificationsITI / Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical qualification.
- Relevant technical certifications will be an advantage.
- Required Experience0–5 years of experience in two-wheeler servicing and repairs.
- Freshers with relevant ITI/Diploma qualifications may also be considered for junior technician positions.
- Experience in a two-wheeler dealership or authorised service centre is preferred.
