Fiber Network Engineer

Perform fiber optic splicing using fusion splicing machines.

Handle end-to-end GPON/FTTH network installation and maintenance.

Perform FTTH fiber laying, jointing, termination, and restoration.

Conduct OTDR testing and power-level testing.

Troubleshoot fiber cuts, signal loss, low power, and connectivity issues.

Handle ODF, FAT, FDT, FDMS, patch panels, and fiber joints.

Perform ONT/ONU installation and configuration support.

Attend customer and network-related fiber complaints.

Identify and rectify fiber faults from OLT to customer premises.

Maintain proper records of splicing, testing, fiber routes, and network faults.

Coordinate with the NOC and Central Fiber Team for network issues.

Follow safety procedures while working in the field.

• Required SkillsGood knowledge of GPON / FTTH technology.
• Hands-on experience with Fusion Splicing Machine.
• Knowledge of OTDR and Optical Power Meter.
• Knowledge of fiber jointing, termination, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of OLT, ONT/ONU, ODF, FAT/FDT, and fiber distribution networks.
• Ability to work independently in field locations.
• Two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred/required.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
