Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant – Accounts & Taxation to handle day-to-day accounting, GST, TDS, reconciliations, statutory compliance, and financial documentation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Indian accounting and taxation, preferably in a construction, interiors, manufacturing, or contracting company.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintain day-to-day books of accounts and accounting entries.

* Handle purchase, sales, expenses, receipts, payments, and journal entries.

* Prepare and file GST returns – GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and perform GST reconciliations.

* Handle TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and returns.

* Reconcile GSTR-2B with purchase invoices/books.

* Prepare and maintain bank, vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations.

* Manage accounts receivable and payable and follow up for outstanding payments.

* Verify purchase invoices, sales invoices, expense bills, and supporting documents.

* Maintain proper documentation for audits and statutory requirements.

* Assist in monthly/annual closing of accounts.

* Coordinate with CA, auditors, GST consultants, and other statutory authorities when required.

* Prepare MIS reports, outstanding reports, cash-flow statements, and other management reports.

* Monitor vendor payments, customer collections, advances, and adjustments.

* Ensure timely compliance with applicable accounting and taxation requirements.

* Maintain proper records of GST, TDS, invoices, e-way bills, e-invoices, and other statutory documents.

* Assist management with financial data and accounting-related decisions.

Required Skills

* Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting & Taxation.

* Good working knowledge of GST and TDS.

* Experience with Tally Prime is preferred.

* Knowledge of MS Excel including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF/SUMIFS, etc.

* Good understanding of ledger scrutiny and reconciliations.

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

* Ability to independently manage routine accounting activities.

* Good communication and coordination skills.
