Business Development Executive (BDE)

Job Description

To acquire, onboard, activate, and support retail merchants for the PayNearby UPI Cash Point platform while ensuring high-quality merchant acquisition, compliance, and sustained transaction activity.

Key Responsibilities

Merchant Acquisition

  • Identify and approach retail merchants in assigned territories. 

  • Pitch the PayNearby UPI Cash Point solution. 

  • Explain merchant earning opportunities and business benefits. 

  • Acquire new merchants on the PayNearby platform. 

Merchant Onboarding as UP Cash Point/ Merchant Engagement

  • Complete Digital KYC. 

  • Collect required documents. 

  • Assist merchants with app installation and registration. 

  • Ensure successful merchant activation. 

  • Complete the first successful transaction. 

Branding

  • Install ATM/Cash Point branding materials. 

  • Display approved marketing collateral. 

  • Ensure branding visibility. 

Compliance

  • Follow KYC guidelines. 

  • Prevent duplicate or fraudulent onboarding. 

  • Capture GPS-tagged merchant photographs. 

  • Maintain accurate records. 

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

Minimum Graduate

Experience

1–5 years in field sales, merchant acquisition, financial services, fintech, or banking.

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience in any of the following organizations will be preferred:

Fintech & Digital Payments

  • Paytm-CSC

  • PhonePe- Only if he is working as Premium Executive 

  • Pine Labs 

  • MSwipe 

Assisted Banking

  • HDFC-Corporate Business Correspondent ( Corporate BC) Business

  • Airtel payment bank

  • Spice Money 

  • Fino Payments Bank 

Skills Required

  • Android Smartphone  

  • Two Wheeler

  • Merchant acquisition experience 

  • Digital onboarding 

  • KYC documentation knowledge 

  • Territory management
