Job Description
The day-to-day duties of a Sales Officer typically include:
- Lead Generation: Identifying potential clients through cold calling, field visits, networking, and digital outreach.
- Client Relationships: Building and sustaining long-term relationships with distributors, retailers, or corporate clients.
- Sales Pitches & Demos: Conducting product presentations and demonstrating features to prospective buyers.
- Negotiation & Closing: Negotiating prices, packages, discounts, and contract terms to finalize profitable deals.
- Target Achievement: Meeting monthly, quarterly, or yearly sales volume and revenue metrics set by the company.
- Market Intelligence: Monitoring competitors’ pricing, promotions, and new products to report feedback to the management team.
- Order Management: Coordinating with logistics, warehouse, and supply chain teams to ensure timely product delivery.
- Reporting: Maintaining accurate sales records, customer history, and performance metrics inside a CRM dashboard.
