Job PurposeThe Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that aerospace components and processes meet customer, regulatory, and industry quality requirements. The role includes inspection planning, quality assurance, CMM inspection and CMM report analysis, process validation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and compliance with AS9100 requirements.

• Key Responsibilities1. Quality Assurance & ControlEnsure compliance with AS9100, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, and quality requirements.
• Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) as per AS9102 requirements.
• Develop and maintain Inspection Plans, Control Plans, and Quality Procedures.
• Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure product conformity.
• 2. Inspection & ValidationPerform and review dimensional inspection reports.
• Perform CMM inspection and analyze CMM inspection reports.
• Analyze CMM results against engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and customer specifications.
• Identify dimensional deviations and out-of-tolerance conditions from CMM reports.
• Verify product compliance using precision measuring instruments and CMM reports.
• Review and approve First-Off, In-Process, and Final Inspection records.
• Coordinate calibration activities for measuring instruments.
• 3. Non-Conformance ManagementInvestigate quality issues and non-conformances.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, or similar methodologies.
• Implement and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Maintain NCR (Non-Conformance Report) records.
• Use CMM and inspection data to support quality investigations.
• 4. Customer & Supplier QualityHandle customer quality concerns and corrective actions.
• Participate in customer and regulatory audits.
• Support supplier quality evaluations and audits.
• Review supplier quality documentation and certifications.
• 5. Continuous ImprovementAnalyze quality and CMM inspection data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Drive defect reduction and process improvement initiatives.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects.

Education & ExperienceQualification

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Aerospace, Production, or Industrial Engineering

Experience

• 3–8 years of Quality Engineering experience in Aerospace Manufacturing, Precision Engineering, or CNC Machining industries.
• Experience in CMM inspection and dimensional inspection is preferred.
