Mechanical Site Engineer

Job Description – Site Engineer Position Summary The Site Engineer is responsible for the execution and delivery of assigned projects across India. The role ensures work is completed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, timelines, and safety norms while coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.

The role also supports billing, documentation, and project closure activities. Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution & Site Management

• Execute work as per approved drawings and specifications

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams

• Monitor daily site progress and ensure timely completion

• Manage labour deployment, productivity, and site coordination

• Handle design changes, deviations, and rework requirements

2. Planning & Reporting

• Review project files, work orders, and site requirements

• Prepare project schedules and kick-off documentation

• Submit daily and weekly progress reports

• Maintain site records and documentation

3. Material & Resource Management

• Coordinate procurement and material receipt

• Maintain stock, issue, and material tracking records

• Ensure proper storage and usage of materials

• Track and reconcile materials at project closure

4. Equipment & Site Support

• Arrange required site equipment (cranes, lifts, DG sets, etc.)

• Ensure proper usage and maintenance of site resources

• Set up basic site infrastructure 5. Billing & Commercial Support

• Support preparation of RA bills and measurements

• Track variations, extra items, and site claims

• Coordinate with accounts for billing and payments

• Assist in subcontractor bill processing

6. Quality & Safety

• Ensure work meets quality standards and specifications

• Support testing, commissioning, and inspections

• Follow all safety guidelines and site protocols

7. Project Closure

• Support final handover and documentation

• Ensure material reconciliation and site clearance

• Assist in project closing formalities
