Job Description

Job Role of an Accountant in a CBSE School

  • Collect student fees and maintain fee records.
  • Maintain cash books, bank books, ledgers and vouchers.
  • Prepare staff salary sheets and process payments.
  • Record income, expenditure and daily transactions.
  • Verify bills and process authorised payments.
  • Prepare budgets and financial reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accounts.
  • Assist in audits and statutory compliance.
  • Use MS Excel, Tally and school ERP software.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential financial records.
  • Maintain PF, ESI, and Professional Tax (PT) records and ensure timely payments and statutory compliance.
