Collection Team Leader – NBFC | 6+ Years Experience | Digital Lending & Loan Recovery

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, lead, and monitor a team of Collection Executives to achieve assigned daily, weekly, and monthly recovery targets.
• Drive collection performance across assigned delinquency buckets, 0-30, 30-60 & 90+ DPD and hard-bucket portfolios.
• Monitor individual and team performance, collection efficiency, productivity, and recovery rates.
• Conduct daily team huddles, performance reviews, target discussions, and regular feedback sessions.
• Track Promise-to-Pay (PTP) commitments, broken PTPs, follow-ups, and payment conversion rates.
• Identify performance gaps and implement effective action plans to improve team productivity and recovery.
• Monitor collection calls and ensure adherence to company processes, customer-handling standards, and ethical collection practices.
• Ensure compliance with applicable RBI guidelines, Fair Practices Code (FPC), and internal collection policies.
• Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly collection MIS and performance reports.
• Coordinate with Quality, Training, Operations, and other internal teams to improve collection performance.
• Handle escalations, customer disputes, and critical delinquent accounts effectively.
• Motivate, coach, and develop team members to achieve business objectives and maintain consistent performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of experience in Collections / Loan Recovery.
• Prior experience in NBFC, Fintech, Banking, or Digital Lending is mandatory.
• Minimum 2+ years of team-handling experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of loan collection, delinquency management, DPD buckets, EMI recovery, and PTP management.
• Hands-on experience managing 90+ DPD / hard-bucket accounts will be an advantage.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of collection compliance, RBI guidelines, and Fair Practices Code.
• Ability to analyze collection data, identify performance gaps, and drive recovery strategies.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Google Sheets, and collection MIS.
• Ability to work in a target-driven and fast-paced environment.
