Business Development Manager (BDM)

Role Summary

Astrapia UPVC Tech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to develop and manage business opportunities for UPVC windows, doors, and related products in government departments and public sector organizations. The role covers tender identification, compliant bid coordination, stakeholder engagement, and project follow-up from opportunity through award and execution handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify relevant government and public sector opportunities through e-procurement portals, department websites, consultants, and industry networks.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with government departments, public sector undertakings, architects, consultants, contractors, and project authorities.
• Track tenders, requests for proposals, prequalification notices, and upcoming projects related to construction, renovation, and building products.
• Review tender requirements, eligibility criteria, technical specifications, submission deadlines, and contractual terms.
• Coordinate with internal teams to prepare compliant technical and commercial bids, proposals, product documents, and presentations.
• Arrange product introductions, technical meetings, demonstrations, and approved sample submissions.
• Coordinate site visits and gather project information, specifications, and stakeholder requirements.
• Maintain an opportunity pipeline, tender calendar, contact records, bid status, and sales forecasts.
• Negotiate commercial terms within company-approved limits and support contract discussions.
• Coordinate with project, technical, finance, and operations teams during bid preparation and after award.
• Monitor awarded projects and support the transition to execution, delivery, installation, and client handover.
• Ensure all business development activity follows company policies and applicable procurement rules.

Qualifications and Experience

> Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field.

>10-15 years of business development or sales experience, preferably involving government or public sector projects.

>Experience with government tendering and e-procurement processes is preferred.

>Familiarity with construction, building materials, UPVC windows and doors, or related products is an advantage.

>Strong written and spoken communication skills; proficiency in [English / Hindi / relevant regional languages].
