Accountant/ Accounts Executive

Job Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

* Maintain daily sales, purchase and expense entries.

* Handle sales invoices, purchase bills, debit notes and credit notes.

* Maintain customer and supplier ledgers.

* Perform regular ledger reconciliation.

* Maintain cash book, bank book and journal entries.

2. GST & Taxation

* Prepare and file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.

* Reconcile GSTR-2B with purchase records.

* Ensure accurate input tax credit (ITC) claims.

* Handle GST-related documentation and compliance.

* Coordinate with CA for GST, TDS and income tax matters.

3. Banking & Financial Transactions

* Handle bank reconciliation statements (BRS).

* Maintain payment and receipt records.

* Prepare supplier payment schedules.

* Monitor customer outstanding payments and receivables.

* Handle cheque deposits, NEFT, RTGS and IMPS transactions.

4. Inventory & Stock Accounting

* Maintain purchase and sales stock records.

* Reconcile physical stock with accounting software.

* Track stock transfers, returns and damaged goods.

* Maintain SKU-wise inventory records.

* Coordinate with the warehouse team for stock verification.

5. Receivables & Payables Management

* Follow up on overdue customer payments.

* Maintain ageing reports for outstanding receivables.

* Track supplier outstanding balances.

* Prepare weekly payment and collection reports.
