Software Tester

Job Type: Part-Time / Contract (Flexible hours)

Commitment: 20–25 hours per week (Approx. 4–5 hours/day, Tuesday to Saturday )

Work Arrangement: Remote

Stipend / Compensation: ₹10,000 per month (Negotiable based on skills and test assignment)

Duration: 6 Months (with potential to convert into full-time based on performance)

Role Overview: We are looking for a sharp, proactive Part-Time QA Tester to support our product releases across web platforms and mobile apps (Android & iOS). This position is ideal for recent graduates, final-year college students, freelance testers, or aspiring QA engineers looking for real-world testing experience.

You will focus on manual functional validation, frontend-backend API response verification, and defect logging alongside our development team.

• Key ResponsibilitiesAPI Validation: Test RESTful APIs using Postman; verify status codes (200, 201, 400, 404, 500), check JSON body responses, and validate parameter inputs.
• Web & App Testing: Execute structured functional, regression, UI/UX, and responsive tests across desktop browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) and mobile devices (Android & iOS).
• Network & DevTools Inspection: Use Chrome DevTools (Network and Console tabs) to track API requests, detect payload discrepancies, and flag JavaScript errors.
• Bug Tracking: Document clear, reproducible bug reports in Jira / ClickUp / Trello (including reproducible steps, screenshots, screen recordings, and expected vs. actual outcomes).
• Release Sanity Testing: Run smoke and regression checks before scheduled feature updates or patch releases.
• Requirements & Qualifications
• Availability: Able to consistently dedicate 20–25 hours per week during core team overlap hours.
• QA Basics: Sound grasp of QA fundamentals—test cases, bug life cycle, boundary testing, and negative testing.
• Tool Familiarity: Practical experience using Postman and browser developer tools.
• Device Access: Must have a personal laptop/PC and access to an Android and/or iOS device for testing.
• Communication: Clear, reliable written communication via Slack/Teams and prompt updates on bug tickets.

Background: Pursuing or completed B.E./B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc (IT/CS), or equivalent practical certification/bootcamp training.
