Process Overview:

Global Information Security (GIS) – Cyber Security Technology (CST) – Data Engineering & Analytics (DEA) – Cyber Data Platform (CDP) is responsible for building, managing, and modernizing enterprise-scale Big Data and Analytics platforms that support cybersecurity reporting, monitoring, data governance, vulnerability management, and strategic decision-making across GIS.

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, engineering, and supporting enterprise-scale Big Data Platforms and Distributed Systems that enable cybersecurity analytics, data processing, reporting, and automation capabilities across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support scalable Big Data platforms and distributed systems to enable enterprise-wide analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Implement, and maintain data platforms leveraging modern cloud and on-premises technologies with a focus on reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Establish and enforce platform standards, security controls, and engineering best practices across the data ecosystem.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Horizon, Git, Jenkins, and related DevOps tools to automate application deployment, testing, and release management.
• Partner with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and operational support of platform services.
• Monitor platform performance, availability, capacity, and operational health, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks and issues.
• Implement infrastructure and application automation to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and accelerate delivery timelines.
• Drive platform resiliency through disaster recovery planning, high availability configurations, and continuous service improvements.
• Conduct security reviews and ensure compliance with enterprise security standards, regulatory requirements, and secure development practices.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities for infrastructure, platform components, and applications.
• Lead FOSS (Free and Open-Source Software) remediation efforts, including identification, analysis, prioritization, and remediation of security vulnerabilities and compliance risks in open-source dependencies.
• Review software composition analysis (SCA) reports and work with application teams to upgrade, replace, or mitigate vulnerable open-source libraries and frameworks.
• Track and manage FOSS remediation metrics, ensuring timely closure of security findings and adherence to organizational risk management policies.

Education:  B. Tech/B.E/M.B.A/ M Tech / M.S/

Experience Range: 8 to 12 years

Foundational skills

• Experience working with Hadoop/Big Data eco system and Distributed Systems
  Hands on experience in at least one programming language
  Experience and proficiency with Linux operating system is a must
• Horizon, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Ansible
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, containers, and infrastructure automation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.

 Desired skills

• Experience working with Hadoop/Big Data and Distributed Systems
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, and Databricks, with a strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and services.
• Working experience with container orchestration platform like Kubernetes and experience with Docker
• Hands on programming experience in perhaps Java, Scala, Python, or Shell Scripting
• Experience in end-to-end design and build process of Near-Real Time and Batch Data Pipelines
• Experience working in Agile development process and deep understanding of various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience using Source Code and Version Control systems like SVN, Git, etc.
• Experience in configuration management tools like Ansible
• Self-starter who works with minimal supervision and the ability to work in a team of diverse skill sets
• Ability to comprehend customer requests and provide the correct solution
• Strong analytical mind to help take on complicated problems
• Desire to resolve issues and dive into potential issues
