Accounting:

• Ensuring client are serviced in accordance with Apex service standards on an ongoing basis.
• To ensure timely and accurate NAV calculations are prepared, reviewed and delivered on a daily, weekly or monthly basis along with any other client specific reporting requirements; ensuring their accuracy and compliance with fund governing documents and regulatory procedures.
• Operational onboarding of new and take on funds and ensure everything has been prepared prior to the launch and take on date – bank and broker access, set-up in the accounting system, etc.
• Review Limited Partner /Shareholder/ Unitholder Allocation - includes review of Administration fees/ Management fees/ Performance Fee/ Waterfall calculations/ Claw back calculations etc
• Preparation and review of financial statements as required annually.
• Annual regulatory reporting – including AIIR lodgement, FATCA, CRS, tax lodgements like BAS & income tax in completed on time.
• Annual distribution calculation
• Ability to deal with auditors (external and internal) & tax advisors and manage and respond to their queries.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and other requirements of the funds specifications.

Investor Services:

• Review of investor on boarding documents to ensure AML/KYC compliance.
• Review capital calls and distribution calculation and notices
• Review and release investor distribution and redemption payments
• Resolve issues and communicate with investors ensuring all investor information is complete and up to date
• Review capital statements
• Oversee calculation and preparation of investor tax statements

Operations

• Overall responsibility for client relationship, inquiries and meetings
• Interact with Senior management and clients
• Solving operational problems encountered by staff on a day to day basis as well as making complex decision making.
• Review procedures and recommend solutions in order to improve efficiencies
• Ensure adherence to all internal and external audit standards
• Implementation of fund structures onto accounting system
• Review of constitutional documents and preparation of client SLA and budgeting
• Attendance in client meetings both at onboarding and launched stages.
• Ongoing Implementation and refinement of SSAE 18 controls.
• Authorisation of fund related payments via bank portals.
• Supervision and training and recruitment of accounting staff.

Skills Required:

• Minimum 4-6 years experience in a similar role incorporating the above functions
• An ability to work to and meet agreed deadlines
• An accountancy qualification is an advantage
• Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills
• Strong PC skills including Word, Excel and Macros in Excel (Experience on Paxus, Efront or Yardi an advantage)
