Job Description Apigee X MCP Azure Cloud and Databricks Platform Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Apigee X MCP Azure Cloud and Databricks Platform Engineer responsible for the administration operation security automation and monitoring of enterprise API management cloud and data platforms

The role requires strong handson expertise in Google Apigee X MCP Gateway Administration Google Cloud Platform Azure Cloud Administration and AzureAWS Databricks The engineer will manage API proxies Databricks workspaces and workflows cloud infrastructure security controls networking monitoring CICD pipelines and productionsupport operations

The selected candidate will work closely with application cloud infrastructure networking security DevOps and data engineering teams to maintain secure reliable scalable and wellgoverned platforms

Key Responsibilities

Apigee X MCP and Google Cloud

Administer and support Google Apigee X MCP Gateway environments

Manage the endtoend lifecycle of API proxies including configuration deployment versioning promotion and retirement

Configure and maintain gateway policies routing rules target endpoints shared flows and related resources

Monitor API traffic gateway performance errors latency availability and utilization through analytics and monitoring dashboards

Implement and maintain API security using OAuth 20 JWT OIDC certificates and appropriate accesscontrol policies

Administer supporting Google Cloud services including VPCs IAM service accounts load balancers GKE logging and monitoring

Configure and support VPC peering VPN connectivity Private Service Connect and hybrid networking

Implement Cloud Armor controls for web application firewall and API security protection

Handle MCP gateway tools platform resources configurations and operational documentation

Troubleshoot API proxy connectivity policy security and gatewayrelated incidents

Apigee supports API proxy development and management including policies analytics publishing management APIs security and proxy configuration docscloudgooglecom

Azure and Databricks Administration

Administer Azure and AWS Databricks accounts workspaces compute resources clusters jobs workflows permissions and platform configurations

Implement and administer Unity Catalog including catalogs schemas access permissions service principals governance controls auditability and lineage

Configure and monitor Databricks jobs and workflows including scheduling dependencies notifications retries and operational support

Create and configure Azure workspaces virtual networks virtual machines storage resources Key Vault and associated cloud components

Administer Azure identity and access using Azure Entra ID IAM rolebased access control users groups and service principals

Configure Private Endpoints firewalls VNET peering DNS ExpressRoute and secure connectivity between Azure services

Support cloud and hybrid database environments including PostgreSQL and SQL Server

Monitor platform health through Azure Monitor and Log Analytics Workspace

Administer Azure Data Factory pipelines and integrations supporting data ingestion movement and orchestration

Troubleshoot Databricks workspace cluster workflow access networking storage and performance issues

Apply platformgovernance secureaccess resourcemanagement and costcontrol practices

Current Azure Databricks administration covers account and workspace management identities service principals compute policies monitoring governance audit logs and cost management learnmicrosoftcom learnmicrosoftcom

Automation DevOps and Operational Support

Automate cloudplatform provisioning and configuration using Terraform and reusable templates

Develop operational automation and support scripts using Python Shell or equivalent scripting languages

Implement and maintain CICD pipelines using relevant enterprise DevOps tools

Support code repositories deployment pipelines release automation and environment promotion processes

Apply secure coding and deployment practices across API cloud and dataplatform components

Support codequality vulnerabilityscanning and containersecurity tools

Establish logging monitoring dashboards s operational metrics and health checks

Manage incidents problems service requests and changes in accordance with IT servicemanagement processes

Perform rootcause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions

Prepare and maintain runbooks configuration documents operational procedures architecture documents and knowledge articles

Participate in Agile ceremonies technical reviews release planning and continuous improvement initiatives
