Role Purpose

Own the delivery and support of the integrated Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) solution across an 18-company-code, multi-country S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition landscape. This is a hands-on senior role for someone who can move fluently between statutory finance and management accounting — closing the loop from raw-material cost through product cost to margin and consolidated group results — and who can lead a workstream through SIT, data migration, cutover, and hypercare rather than advise from the sidelines.

Key Responsibilities — Finance (FI)

• Own the FI configuration validation across G/L, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Bank Accounting for all in-scope company codes, on the S/4HANA Universal Journal (ACDOCA) model.
• Design and govern the multi-country chart of accounts, ledger and currency setup, and parallel valuation (group/IFRS and local GAAP), including document splitting and the non-leading ledger design.
• Lead intercompany accounting design, including the Germany–Luxembourg principal model and cross-company-code postings across the 18 entities.
• Own period-end and financial-close design and orchestration, including tax, withholding, and country-specific statutory and e-invoicing/compliance requirements across NA, EU, KSA, India, and Mexico.
• Direct the AP automation agenda — invoice ingestion, three-way match, MIRO/FB60 posting, and document archiving — and its finance-side controls, working with the BTP/automation team.

Key Responsibilities — Controlling (CO)

• Own the CO design across Cost Element, Cost Center, Internal Order, Profitability Analysis (margin analysis on the Universal Journal), and Product Costing.
• Lead Product Cost Planning and the cost estimate / costing-run design (BOM- and routing-driven cost build-up, activity rates), including its use in cost-plus sales pricing (EK02 / margin-condition design).
• Own Material Ledger and Actual Costing design and activation — including the migration and mock-cycle issues that come with it — given standard-price valuation and multi-currency requirements.
• Design overhead, settlement, and period-end CO close, and the PP/CO and PS/CO integration (production and project cost flows).

Key Responsibilities — Group Reporting & Integration

• Own or co-own SAP Group Reporting (S/4HANA Consolidation) design: consolidation units/groups, FS-item mapping, currency translation, and intercompany elimination.
• Ensure clean FI-CO integration and cross-module integrity with MM (procurement/inventory valuation, GR/IR), SD (revenue, COGS, billing), PP (production cost), PM, PS, and EWM.
• Own the finance number-range, master-data, and org-structure readiness across all company codes.

Delivery Responsibilities

• Lead the FICO workstream through SIT, UAT, and integration testing — authoring and executing test cases and driving defect resolution to closure.
• Own FICO data migration design and mock-cycle execution (asset balances, open items, cost master data, Material Ledger), resolving load errors and reconciling migrated balances.
• Own cutover planning and execution for finance, and lead hypercare and the first statutory close post-go-live.
• Produce and maintain BRDs, functional specs for RICEFW objects, and configuration documentation to program standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years SAP FICO, with at least 3–4 full-cycle implementations where the individual personally owned both FI and CO (not one or the other).
• Demonstrable depth in S/4HANA (not just ECC) — Universal Journal, New Asset Accounting, and the S/4 finance data model — ideally on Private Cloud Edition / RISE.
• Hands-on Product Costing and Material Ledger / Actual Costing experience — a firm requirement, not a nice-to-have, given the manufacturing (polymer compounding) context.
• Multi-company-code, multi-country, multi-currency delivery experience, including parallel ledgers and local statutory/tax requirements.
• SAP Group Reporting (or a comparable SAP consolidation tool) design experience.
• Strong FI-CO integration knowledge and working fluency with the MM/SD/PP touchpoints that drive finance postings.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA / CPA / CMA / ACCA or equivalent) strongly preferred — someone who understands the accounting, not only the configuration.
• Proven ability to lead a workstream and coordinate with cross-functional module leads, an implementation partner, and business stakeholders.

Preferred / Differentiators

• Manufacturing or process-industry finance experience (chemicals, polymers, or similar).
• Exposure to SAP BTP-based finance automation (Document AI / DOX, Build Process Automation) and finance-relevant Fiori app design.
• KSA e-invoicing (ZATCA), India GST, and Mexico CFDI familiarity.
• Experience through a go-live cutover and first statutory/consolidated close on S/4HANA.
