DGM - MES Product Development
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
'MES Product Management
- Define the MES product vision, strategy, roadmap, governance, and investment priorities.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, IT, and Plant leadership to deliver business value.
- Drive global platform standardization while addressing critical plant-specific requirements.
Operations & Reliability
- Own availability, performance, resilience, and lifecycle management of MES environments across multiple plants.
- Lead application support, incident/problem management, releases, disaster recovery, and operational excellence.
- Establish and continuously improve service levels, monitoring, and production support processes.
Technology & Architecture
- Own the future-state architecture of the custom .NET MES platform.
- Lead modernization from legacy architectures toward modular, API-first, cloud/hybrid-ready, secure, and scalable platforms.
- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices including DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and automation.
- Manage technical debt and legacy technology rationalization without disrupting manufacturing operations.
Smart Factory Transformation
- Define the role of MES within the organization's Industry 4.0 / Smart Factory strategy.
- Enable integration with machines, PLCs, SCADA, robotics, industrial IoT, historians, and other OT systems.
- Establish the foundation for real-time manufacturing data, advanced analytics, AI/ML, digital twins, connected workers, and intelligent manufacturing.
- Position MES as a trusted source of contextualized manufacturing data for enterprise digital and AI initiatives.
Leadership & Organization
- Lead a high-performing team of product managers, architects, software engineers, DevOps professionals
- Build engineering excellence, talent capability, succession, and a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Manage strategic technology partners, system integrators, and application support vendors.

- Experience in the automotive OEM / automotive manufacturing industry.
- Experience with global/multi-plant MES environments.
- Knowledge of ISA-95, OPC UA, MQTT, or Industry 4.0 architectures.
- Experience with industrial IoT, manufacturing data platforms, AI/ML, digital twins, or advanced analytics.
- Experience leading large-scale Smart Factory / Digital Manufacturing transformation programs.
