Pharma Machinery Electrician / Electrical Technician

Job Responsibilities

 Electrical wiring, installation, testing and commissioning of pharmaceutical processing machinery.

 Installation and troubleshooting of control panels, motors, starters, contactors, relays, MCBs/MCCBs, VFDs and sensors.

 Carry out electrical connections for machines such as RMG, FBD, Multi Mill, Vibro Sifter, Blender, Ointment Plant, Syrup Plant, Reactors and other process equipment.

 Read and understand electrical circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams and panel drawings.

 Perform machine electrical testing and fault finding during installation and commissioning.

 Troubleshoot issues related to motor rotation, overload, VFD faults, sensors, limit switches, control circuits and power supply.

 Ensure proper earthing, cable routing, termination, insulation and electrical safety.

 Assist the engineering team during machine trials and commissioning at customer locations.

 Carry out preventive and corrective electrical maintenance of machinery.

 Identify defective electrical components and coordinate for their replacement/repair.

 Maintain proper documentation of wiring, testing, commissioning and service activities.

 Follow applicable GMP, electrical safety and customer-site safety requirements.

 Coordinate with mechanical/service engineers to resolve machine-related electrical issues.

Be willing to travel to customer sites across India for installation, commissioning and service work.

Required Skills

 Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems and control panels.

 Practical knowledge of 3-phase motors, VFDs, sensors and control circuits.

 Ability to use basic electrical testing instruments such as multimeter, clamp meter and insulation tester (megger).

 Ability to read basic electrical drawings.

 Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

 Knowledge of PLC wiring and basic PLC troubleshooting would be an advantage.

 Ability to work independently as well as with engineers and technicians.

Qualification

 ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering preferred.
