House Keeping Supervisor

Job Purpose

To supervise the housekeeping team and ensure all guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas are maintained to the hotel's standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation and guest service.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and allocate daily duties to Room Attendants and Housekeeping staff.

- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and proper presentation.

- Coordinate with Front Office for room status, arrivals, departures and early check-ins.

- Handle guest housekeeping requests and complaints promptly.

- Ensure adequate availability and control of linen, towels, amenities and cleaning supplies.

- Maintain proper Lost & Found procedures.

- Report room maintenance issues and follow up with Engineering.

- Monitor staff attendance, grooming, discipline and productivity.

- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

- Maintain housekeeping checklists, registers and daily reports.

- Ensure compliance with hotel SOPs, hygiene, safety and security standards.

- Conduct shift briefings and ensure proper handover of pending work.

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum 12th Standard; Hotel Management qualification preferred.

- 2–4 years of housekeeping experience, preferably with supervisory experience.

- Good communication, leadership and guest-handling skills.

- Good knowledge of room cleaning, linen control and housekeeping operations.
