Learning & Development Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Learning & Development Manager to lead the organization's learning strategy and capability-building initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Learning & Development within the retail industry, with expertise in designing and implementing learning solutions that enhance employee capability, sales performance, customer experience, leadership development, and overall organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

·        Develop and execute the Learning & Development strategy aligned with business objectives.

·        Lead, mentor, and manage the Learning & Development team, ensuring high performance and continuous professional development.

·        Build a collaborative, performance-driven culture within the L&D function.

·        Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify competency gaps and recommend learning interventions.

·        Design and implement training programs for retail sales, customer service, product knowledge, leadership development, soft skills, and compliance.

·        Lead onboarding and induction programs for new employees.

·        Develop leadership development and succession planning initiatives.

·        Partner with business leaders, HR, and retail operations to drive capability development across all locations.

·        Manage Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and digital learning initiatives.

·        Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, KPIs, and business outcomes.

·        Manage external training partners, facilitators, and training budgets.

·        Coach and mentor Regional Trainers and Training Executives to enhance training quality and consistency.

·        Ensure standardized learning practices and training delivery across all retail locations.

·        Drive a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and performance excellence.

Experience

·        Strong experience in Learning & Development within the retail industry.

·        Proven experience in leading and managing L&D teams.

·        Experience in designing and delivering large-scale learning and development initiatives across multiple retail locations.

·        Expertise in leadership development, retail sales capability building, customer experience training, and talent development.
