Job PurposeThe Business Development Manager is responsible for driving the acquisition of premium and retail SBI Credit Cards through strategic field sales execution, corporate tie-ups, open market sourcing, and relationship management. In Kerala, this role focuses heavily on leveraging local networks, capitalizing on high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), and managing regional corporate campaigns to hit aggressive monthly sales targets.

• Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Acquisition & Lead Generation: Drive end-to-end credit card sales through open market sourcing, cold calling, field activities, and canopy campaigns in high-footfall areas.
• Corporate Sourcing: Approach corporate offices, IT parks (like Technopark/Infopark), and government departments across Kerala to organize corporate sales desks and presentations.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong ties with local business owners, merchants, High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs), and regional stakeholders.
• Channel Strategy (If assigned to Banca): Coordinate with local State Bank of India (SBI) branches to activate and train branch staff (CIFs) to cross-sell credit cards to existing bank account holders.
• Market Mapping: Understand the local demographics of Kerala, track competitor activities, and identify untapped pockets for financial product distribution.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure strict compliance with RBI guidelines and KYC norms. Collect, verify, and timely process accurate customer application forms.
• Required Skills & QualificationsEducation: Graduate in any stream is mandatory; an MBA in Sales/Marketing is an added advantage.
• Experience: 1 to 3+ years of experience in field sales, banking, financial services (BFSI), credit cards, or loan sourcing.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in Malayalam is highly critical for local market penetration. Good working knowledge of English or Hindi is required for corporate reporting.
• Core Competencies: Target-driven mindset, excellent negotiation and presentation skills, and strong field orientation.
• Mobility: Must own a two-wheeler with a valid driving license for regular field visits and corporate meetings.
