Job Description
- Education: Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: 3-8 Years as Production Engineer / Factory Engineer / Workshop Engineer
- Must have worked in manufacturing factory - steel structure, machinery, equipment industry
- Must have handled 20+ workers team
- Plan daily production as per Sales Orders & dispatch priority list
- Distribute work to fabricators, welders, fitters, assembly team
- Ensure on-time manufacturing of structures, pallets, columns, platforms
- Achieve daily / weekly / monthly production targets
- Coordinate with Store for material availability
- Read and understand 2D AutoCAD GA Drawings and Fabrication Drawings
- Check fabrication as per drawing - dimensions, welding, holes, alignment
- Ensure quality - no rework at site, no material rejection
- Do stage-wise QC - Cutting, Bending, Welding, Assembly, Powder Coating
- Prepare QC reports and maintain ISO documentation
- Coordinate with Design Team for drawing clarifications and changes
- Coordinate with Purchase / Store for raw material, bought-out items (motors, hydraulics, chains, sheets)
- Coordinate with Dispatch team for packing, loading, vehicle arrangement
- Coordinate with Installation team for site readiness and dispatch feedback
- Manage 15-40 workers - welders, fitters, helpers, operators
- Maintain attendance, OT, discipline, safety on shop floor
- Train workers for better productivity and less rework
- Ensure 5S, housekeeping, safety compliance in factory
- Handle contractor workers if needed
- Must have: Knowledge of MS Fabrication, Sheet Metal, Welding (MIG/ARC), Grinding, Assembly
- Knowledge of Puzzle Parking / Stack Parking / Lifts / PEB / Material Handling / SPM Manufacturing - Highly
- PreferredCan read engineering drawings with GD&T
- Knowledge of Hydraulics, Powerpack, Motors, Chains, Wire Rope, Fasteners
- Knowledge of Powder Coating / Painting process is plus
