Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Australian Accountant / Senior Accountant to manage accounting, bookkeeping, BAS, GST, payroll, taxation, reconciliations, and financial reporting for Australian clients.

Key Responsibilities

* Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and bank reconciliations.

* Prepare and review BAS, GST, PAYG and payroll.

* Process and reconcile superannuation and STP.

* Assist with Australian individual, company and trust tax returns.

* Prepare P&L, Balance Sheet and year-end workpapers.

* Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.

* Communicate with Australian clients and follow up for required information.

* Ensure work is accurate and completed within deadlines.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

*Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably Australian accounting.

* Strong knowledge of Australian accounting, GST, BAS, PAYG, payroll and superannuation.

* Experience with Xero and Excel is essential.

* MYOB, XPM and QuickBooks experience is preferred.

* Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client files.
