Job Description
- Daily Accounting & BookkeepingMaintain daily sales, purchase, expense, receipt and payment entries.
- Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Maintain proper ledger accounts for all stores.
- Bank & Cash ManagementDaily bank reconciliation.
- Monitor cash-in-hand and store cash balances.
- Verify cash deposits and withdrawals.
- Track online payments, UPI, cards and other payment modes.
- GST & Tax CompliancePrepare and verify GST data.
- Ensure timely filing of GST returns.
- Reconcile GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and purchase data.
- Maintain proper tax invoices and GST records.
- Sales & Purchase AccountingVerify sales invoices and purchase invoices.
- Check GST, rates, quantities and discounts.
- Record purchase returns and sales returns.
- Reconcile supplier accounts.
- Store-Wise AccountingMaintain separate accounting records for each store.
- Prepare store-wise sales, expenses, collection and outstanding reports.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and report them to management.
- Accounts Payable & ReceivableTrack supplier outstanding payments.
- Monitor customer/B2B receivables.
- Prepare ageing reports.
- Follow up for pending collections and payments.
- Inventory AccountingReconcile physical stock with system stock.
- Check stock transfers between warehouse and stores.
- Identify stock mismatches and report immediately.
- Coordinate with warehouse and store teams.
- Expense ControlVerify all expense bills before payment.
- Maintain proper supporting documents.
- Monitor store and office expenses.
- Report unusual or excess expenses to management.
- Finance & MIS ReportingPrepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports.
- Prepare sales, gross margin, expense and profitability reports.
- Provide management with accurate financial data for decision-making.
- Audit & Documentation
- Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with CA/auditors.
- Provide required documents and reports during audits.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies.
