Job Description
Solar Technician / Electrical Technician

Location: Salem, Tamil Nadu
Job Type: Full-time
Work Area: Salem & across Tamil Nadu
Job Responsibilities
- Installation and commissioning of on-grid, hybrid and off-grid solar power systems.
- Electrical wiring, cable routing, termination and installation of AC/DC DBs.
- Solar panel mounting and installation work.
- Installation and connection of solar inverters, batteries and other electrical equipment.
- Earthing and lightning protection work.
- Electrical testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of solar systems.
- Basic civil work related to solar installations when required.
- Travel to customer sites across Tamil Nadu for installation and service work.
- Ensure installations are completed safely, neatly and according to quality standards.
- Coordinate with the project team and customers at installation sites.
Candidate Requirements
- ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical / equivalent qualification preferred.
- Solar installation experience is preferred, but freshers with good electrical knowledge can also apply.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring, tools and basic troubleshooting.
- Physically fit and comfortable working at height.
- Willingness to travel across Tamil Nadu.
- Should be responsible, punctual and willing to learn.
- Two-wheeler driving licence preferred.
Important
This is a field-based job. Working hours may vary depending on the project and site requirements. Travel outside Salem may be required.
Salary
₹20,000 – ₹30,000+ per month, depending on experience and skill level.
Experienced candidates with strong solar installation and troubleshooting skills can be considered for a higher salary.
