Your Key Responsibilities

• Execution and assessment of the Returned tested parts from the customer during new development stage & subsequent failure analysis.
• Perform functional & diamensional measurement, Dismantling as per RPA & BM procedure.
• Preparation of RPA report (aligning with global standard) and final report release to customer.
• Benchmarking of the competitor products irrespective of market sector, assessment of the competitor products  and to provide recommendation for improvement of quality and provide cost-effective solution.
• Performing failure/ field analysis of products.( parts from usage at end consumers from prototypes)
• Preparing and maintaining standard procedure or work instruction for the new products RPA & BM
• Setting up local Returned Parts Analysis (RPA) & Benchmarking competences at Schaeffler India to support new product development.
• Should be Liaison with Product Development & Application Engineers to support for new product development or improvement in existing designs

Your Qualifications

• B.E. / M-Tech in (Mechanical / Automobile Engineering. ) with strong educational track record. (Minimum of 60% of marks throughout)  More than 3 years’ of relevant experience in Quality and R& D function in Automotive industry.

• Knowledge of Automotive industry,  in area of design, manufacturing & quality inspection. Min. 2 years of relevant experience in quality control dept.

• Knowledge of various testing instruments like surface testing, form & fit measurement, spectro, hardness measurement, CMM. Micro-scope

• Reading /Interpreting engineering drawings. Willing to work hands on (measurement/ dismantling  etc)

• Knowledge of product design guidelines, & different modes of failure. Material & Failure Analysis of steel, plastics & rubber parts.

• Knowledge of bearing in area of design, application & manufacturing. Knowledge of material & Failure Analysis of bearing.

• Familiar with Automotive, Engine & Transmission System Products, Quality measurement.

• Familiar with all general material analysis methods & equipments. Especially steel, plastics & rubber analysis
