Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Purchase planning: Identify and arrange materials required for boiler manufacturing and service activities.
- Vendor coordination: Contact suppliers, collect quotations, and compare prices, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Bargaining and negotiation: Negotiate prices, payment terms, discounts, and delivery timelines with vendors.
- Purchase orders: Prepare purchase orders and maintain purchase-related documentation.
- Follow-up: Track orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Inventory coordination: Check material availability and coordinate with the stores department.
- Internal coordination: Communicate with production, design, stores, accounts, and service departments.
- Computer work: Maintain purchase records, vendor details, quotations, and material status using MS Excel, Word, and ERP software.
- Invoice coordination: Coordinate with suppliers and the accounts department regarding invoices and payments.
