Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Indian Chef to prepare high-quality Indian cuisine while maintaining taste, presentation, hygiene, and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare authentic North Indian, South Indian and regional Indian dishes.
- Handle daily food preparation, cooking, plating and garnishing.
- Maintain consistent taste, quality and presentation.
- Prepare gravies, curries, breads, rice, starters and other Indian specialties.
- Ensure proper food storage and minimize wastage.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Follow standard recipes, portion sizes and food safety procedures.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth service during busy hours.
- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients.
- Assist in menu planning and introducing new dishes when required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Indian Chef in a hotel, restaurant, banquet or similar establishment.
- Good knowledge of Indian cooking techniques, spices and ingredients.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Culinary qualification or Hotel Management background will be an advantage.
