Salesforce Financial Services Cloud Developer

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) and core Salesforce development technologies. The candidate will design, develop, integrate, and support scalable Salesforce solutions for financial services use cases such as banking, insurance, wealth management, or lending.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy solutions on Salesforce Financial Services Cloud.

• Develop custom functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, Flows, and Salesforce configuration.

• Configure and extend FSC capabilities such as Person Accounts, Financial Accounts, Financial Holdings, Relationships, Household/Group structures, Interaction Summaries, and Action Plans.

• Build integrations between Salesforce and external/core financial systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, middleware, and other integration patterns.

• Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, batch processes, scheduled jobs, and asynchronous processing.

• Configure Salesforce objects, fields, validation rules, record types, page layouts, Flows, permission sets, and sharing rules.

• Work with Salesforce security and data-access models to ensure appropriate handling of customer and financial information.

• Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, technical estimation, development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.

• Troubleshoot application, integration, data, and performance-related issues.

• Ensure solutions comply with Salesforce best practices around governor limits, security, scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Support DevOps, CI/CD, source control, and Salesforce release-management processes.

• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams, product owners, and integration teams in an Agile delivery environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud.

• Strong Salesforce development experience with:

  • Apex

  • Lightning Web Components (LWC)

  • SOQL / SOSL

  • Salesforce Flows

  • Triggers and asynchronous Apex

• Good understanding of the FSC data model and financial-services-specific capabilities.

• Experience with FSC concepts including:

  • Person Accounts

  • Financial Accounts and Financial Holdings

  • Account-Contact Relationships

  • Household/Group relationships

  • Interaction Summaries

  • Action Plans

• Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, sharing framework, and governor limits.

• Experience developing and consuming REST/SOAP APIs and integrating Salesforce with enterprise applications.

• Experience with Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud alongside FSC.

• Familiarity with Git, Salesforce CLI, CI/CD pipelines, Copado, Gearset, or similar Salesforce DevOps tools.

• Strong understanding of software engineering practices including unit testing, coding standards, code reviews, and version control.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams.

Good to Have

• Experience in banking, insurance, wealth management, lending, or other financial services domains.

• Experience integrating Salesforce with core banking, policy administration, loan origination, payment, or customer master systems.

• Experience with MuleSoft or other enterprise integration platforms.

• Knowledge of Platform Events, Change Data Capture, Named Credentials, OAuth, and event-driven integrations.

• Experience with OmniStudio, particularly where used alongside FSC.

• Understanding of data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements relevant to financial services.

• Salesforce certifications such as:

  • Salesforce Certified Financial Services Cloud

  • Platform Developer I

  • Platform Developer II

  • Salesforce Administrator

  • JavaScript Developer I

Experience

Typically 4–8+ years of Salesforce experience, with at least 2+ years of hands-on Financial Services Cloud experience, depending on role seniority.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
