📍 Bund Garden – Pune | Work from Office

💼 Experience: 1+ Years in Embedded Firmware Development

🎓 Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics, E&TC, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience)

🕒 Full-time

🔹 What You’ll Do

- Study and identify chipsets, MCUs, SoCs, flash memory, motor drivers, sensors, and communication chips in thermal label and receipt printers

- Analyse existing firmware and bootloaders, understand memory maps, update processes, and communication protocols

- Develop, modify, and release embedded firmware in-house using Embedded C and relevant SDKs

- Develop firmware features supporting printer command languages such as ZPL II, EPL, TSPL, and ESC/POS

- Build firmware update tools for Windows and Android with secure update and recovery mechanisms

- Work on USB, Bluetooth/BLE, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet connectivity

- Implement OTA updates and device-to-app communication wherever required

- Perform hardware debugging, PCB tracing, component-level fault finding, soldering, and board rework

- Conduct firmware testing, hardware-in-the-loop testing, update/rollback testing, and long-run print testing

- Verify printing quality, barcode and QR code scanning accuracy, and real-world printer performance

- Debug firmware issues in returned devices and implement corrective solutions

- Maintain firmware version history, test logs, release notes, and technical documentation

- Support production and customer support teams with firmware flashing, testing, and recovery procedures

🔹 What We’re Looking For

- 3+ years of experience in embedded C firmware development for ARM Cortex-M or similar MCUs

- Strong expertise in Embedded C and working knowledge of C++, Python, and ARM/RISC-V assembly

- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers such as STM32, GD32, NXP, ESP32, or similar

- Strong understanding of bootloaders, memory maps, interrupts, DMA, timers, RTOS, and bare-metal programming

- Experience with UART, SPI, I2C, USB, CAN, Bluetooth/BLE, Wi-Fi, and TCP/IP protocols

- Ability to read datasheets, schematics, PCB layouts, and reference manuals independently

- Experience in firmware extraction, reverse engineering, debugging, modification, and flashing

- Knowledge of thermal printer technology, printer command languages, and barcode/QR rendering

- Hands-on experience with SWD/JTAG/UART debugging and hardware recovery

- Strong problem-solving skills, patience for testing, and documentation abilities

🔹 Good to Have

- Experience with thermal printers, POS devices, barcode scanners, or similar peripherals

- Knowledge of ZPL II, TSPL, and ESC/POS command sets

- PCB design experience using KiCad, Altium, or EasyEDA

- Knowledge of BIS / CE / FCC testing and EMI/EMC basics

- Experience working with Chinese ODM suppliers

- GitHub portfolio or published embedded projects
