Job Description

Responsiblity:


  • Install systems: Lay down wiring, conduits, circuit breakers, outlets, and lighting fixtures in new or existing buildings.
  • Diagnose problems: Use tools like voltmeters and multimeters to find out why electrical systems or appliances are malfunctioning.
  • Repair and replace: Fix broken or outdated equipment, wiring, fuses, and electrical panels.
  • Read blueprints: Review technical drawings and wiring diagrams to plan how to safely install electrical systems.
  • Maintain safety: Test electrical systems regularly to prevent hazards, fires, or shocks, ensuring everything meets local building codes.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent, followed by a formal apprenticeship or trade school program.
