Site Supervisors-Experienced Of High Rise Buildibng

A Site Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring that construction work on a high-rise building is carried out safely, correctly, on schedule, and according to approved drawings and specifications.

Main Responsibilities

• Supervision of Construction Work
• Monitor day-to-day activities at the site.
• Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Supervise RCC, reinforcement, formwork, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, finishing, and other activities.
• Manpower Management
• Allocate work to workers, masons, carpenters, bar benders, and other trades.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and work crews.
• Monitor productivity and attendance.
• Quality Control
• Check dimensions, levels, alignment, verticality, and workmanship.
• Ensure proper reinforcement placement, cover, shuttering, concrete quality, curing, etc.
• Identify defects and coordinate their rectification.
• Ensure materials are used according to approved specifications.
• Safety Management
• Ensure workers use required PPE such as helmets, safety shoes, harnesses, and reflective jackets.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as work at height, lifting operations, scaffolding, and excavation.
• Ensure proper barricading, access, housekeeping, and fall-protection systems.
• Report unsafe conditions and incidents immediately.
• Coordination
• Coordinate with the Site Engineer, Project Manager, QA/QC Engineer, Safety Engineer, surveyor, MEP teams, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate different activities to prevent clashes and delays.
• Communicate site requirements and progress to senior management.
• Material Management
• Check delivered materials against requirements.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of cement, steel, concrete, blocks, tiles, and other materials.
• Inform the store/site engineer about shortages or damaged materials.
• Survey and Setting-Out Assistance
• Assist surveyors and engineers in checking grid lines, levels, column positions, floor elevations, and verticality.
• Ensure construction is carried out at the correct location and elevation.
• Daily Progress Monitoring
• Monitor planned versus actual work progress.
• Maintain daily records of manpower, materials, equipment, and completed work.
• Report delays, site problems, and resource requirements.
• Equipment & Tools
• Ensure construction equipment and tools are available and used properly.
• Monitor equipment such as tower cranes, hoists, concrete pumps, vibrators, scaffolding, and lifting equipment.
• Documentation
• Maintain daily site reports, checklists, inspection requests, work records, and material records as required.
• Record completed quantities and significant site issues.
