CNC Programmer

We are looking for a skilled and experienced CNC Programmer Cum Operator to program, set up, and operate CNC machines for precision machining of components as per engineering drawings. The candidate should be capable of optimizing machining processes, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.

• Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
• Create CNC programs for milling and turning operations using CAM software or manual programming.
• Set up CNC machines, including fixture alignment, tooling, and workpiece loading.
• Operate CNC machines and monitor machining operations to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds based on material and machining requirements.
• Perform first-off inspection and in-process quality checks using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and dial indicators.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to minimize downtime.
• Optimize cycle times while maintaining product quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure machines are kept clean and in good working condition.
• Maintain production records, tool life records, and program backups.
• Follow 5S, safety procedures, and company quality standards.
• Coordinate with the design, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues.
• Required SkillsStrong knowledge of CNC programming (G-Code & M-Code).
• Experience with CNC Milling and/or CNC Turning machines.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, tooling systems, and work holding methods.
• Familiarity with CAM software (Mastercam, SolidCAM, NX CAM, Fusion 360, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Good understanding of machining parameters and process optimization.
• Proficient in using precision measuring instruments.
• Basic knowledge of preventive machine maintenance.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• QualificationITI (Machinist/Turner) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• CNC Programming certification is an added advantage.
• Experience2–5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer Cum Operator in a manufacturing or precision machining environment.
• Experience with VMC/HMC/CNC Lathe is preferred.
