VACANCY – CIVIL CAD DRAFTSMAN

Qualification: ITI – Civil Draftsman

Required Technical Skills:

• Good command of AutoCAD for preparation and modification of civil drawings
• Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings
• Knowledge of plans, elevations, sections, details and drawing schedules
• Familiarity with civil engineering terminology and construction details
• Proficiency in working with:
• Layers and layer standards
• Groups and blocks
• Xrefs (External References)
• Model Space and Paper Space
• Layouts and viewports
• Drawing scales and units
• Dimensions, text styles and annotations
• Hatching and line types
• Coordinates and reference points
• Plot settings, CTB files and printing drawings to scale
• Ability to prepare accurate working drawings and shop drawings
• Knowledge of drawing numbering, revision marking and maintaining drawing registers
• Ability to manage and organize CAD files systematically
• Ability to coordinate architectural and structural drawings and identify basic discrepancies

Additional Skills Preferred:

• Autodesk Revit knowledge
• MS Excel proficiency
• Quantity take-off and BOQ preparation
• Civil billing and measurement-sheet knowledge

Candidates possessing Revit, Excel, quantity take-off or billing knowledge may be offered additional remuneration based on their skills and experience.
