Supervisor

We are looking for a diligent and responsible Finishing Supervisor to oversee day-to-day activities on the production floor and ensure smooth and timely flow of garments through the finishing process. The role requires strong coordination between different teams, close monitoring of production activities, attention to deadlines, and regular reporting to senior management.

The ideal candidate should be proactive, observant, disciplined, and capable of identifying discrepancies or delays on the production floor and taking timely action.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor day-to-day activities across the finishing floor.
• Ensure smooth and continuous flow of production as per the production plan and required timelines.
• Closely monitor the movement of garments through different processes and ensure there are no unnecessary delays or bottlenecks.
• Coordinate effectively between production, finishing, quality, stores, packing and other relevant teams.
• Identify discrepancies, delays, quality issues, missing trims/materials or process-related problems and immediately bring them to the attention of senior management.
• Follow up with concerned departments to ensure that issues are resolved promptly.
• Monitor daily production progress against planned targets and highlight any shortfall or potential delay.
• Maintain accurate and timely production/finishing reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Coordinate with the quality team to ensure defects are rectified before garments move to the next stage.
• Monitor rework and ensure rejected or defective garments are followed up until completion.
• Ensure proper housekeeping, discipline and organisation on the production floor.
• Escalate any issue that may affect quality, production efficiency or delivery timelines without delay.
• Carry out any other production-floor responsibilities assigned by senior management.

Reporting Responsibilities:

Reporting is a key part of this role. The Finishing Supervisor will be expected to provide regular and accurate updates to senior management regarding:

• Daily production and finishing status
• Planned vs. actual production
• Pending and completed garments
• Bottlenecks and production delays
• Team or process-related issues
• Any discrepancy observed on the production floor
• Potential risks to production schedules or delivery dates
