Site Civil Engineer

Job Summary :

We are looking for a Civil Site Engineer responsible for supervising and managing day-to-day civil, structural, finishing, and interior works at project sites. The candidate will ensure that all work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Civil & Construction

• WorkSupervise day-to-day civil construction activities at site.
• Execute and monitor RCC, brickwork, blockwork, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, masonry, concrete and structural works.
• Check line, level, alignment, dimensions, and quality of construction work.
• Coordinate with contractors, labour teams, vendors, architects, and consultants.
• Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.

2. Interior & Finishing

• WorksSupervise complete interior fit-out and finishing works.
• Handle false ceiling, gypsum work, partition work, painting, wall finishes, flooring, tiling, wooden work, modular furniture, glass work, aluminium work, doors, hardware and fixtures.
• Coordinate electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire-fighting and other MEP works with interior activities.
• Check finishing quality, measurements, levels, joints, alignment and workmanship.
• Prepare and monitor snag lists and ensure timely rectification.

3. Drawings & Specifications

• Read and understand civil, architectural, structural and interior drawings.
• Work as per BOQ, approved drawings, specifications and site instructions.
• Coordinate with architects and consultants for drawing clarifications.
• Identify drawing/site discrepancies and report them to the Project Manager.
• Maintain updated drawings and ensure only approved drawings are used at site.

4. Site Measurement & Quantity

• Take site measurements and verify contractor measurements.
• Check quantities against BOQ and work orders.
• Prepare measurement sheets and work completion reports.
• Assist in preparing RA bills, material reconciliation and quantity calculations.
• Monitor material requirements and coordinate timely procurement.

5. Quality Control

• Ensure proper quality of materials and workmanship.
• Inspect incoming construction and finishing materials.
• Ensure proper curing, waterproofing, surface preparation and finishing processes.
• Conduct regular quality inspections and maintain site records.
• Ensure rectification of defective or rejected work.

6. Site Planning & Coordination

• Prepare daily/weekly work plans and track progress.
• Coordinate multiple contractors and work teams.
• Ensure work is completed within the planned schedule.
• Maintain daily progress reports and site activity records.
• Coordinate with management, architects, consultants and vendors.
