Job Description – Industrial Engineer (IE)

Industry: Soft Toy Manufacturing 

Experience: 5–7Years 

Responsibilities 

● Conduct time and motion studies for stitching, stuffing, assembly, and finishing. 

● Set production targets and calculate production time, capacity, and cost for new toy 

designs. 

● Improve production methods, line efficiency, and manpower utilization. 

● Prepare operation bulletins (OB), line layouts, and material consumption reports. 

● Coordinate with Planning, Production, Sampling, HR, and Quality teams. 

● Plan manpower, line loading, and production schedules according to delivery priorities. 

● Monitor operator performance, machine utilization, and daily production output. 

● Reduce material wastage, idle time, rework, and manufacturing costs. 

● Conduct production audits and ensure standard methods are followed. 

● Support worker training and guide IE team members. 

● Introduce process improvements to maintain quality and meet delivery deadlines. 

Authorities & Accountability 

● Plan manpower allocation and production-line loading. 

● Improve productivity, efficiency, and machine utilization. 

● Maintain IE records and achieve production targets. 

● Reduce costs and ensure timely delivery with consistent quality. 

Requirements 

● Diploma/Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Production Engineering. 

● Experience in garment, textile, or soft toy manufacturing preferred. 

● Knowledge of time study, line balancing, capacity planning, and MS Excel.
